Assessment Department
A drug and alcohol assessment is a thorough interview process designed to identify the need for counseling services. The evaluation process will address the physical, psychological, social, and spiritual ramifications of the growth of drug or alcohol abuse, tracing it to its very roots. The assessment process provides linkage, monitoring, and follow-up services to ensure that clients receive timely access to and smooth transfers through the continuum of treatment.
The assessment process requires just one appointment. If it is determined that treatment is necessary, a prompt referral to the appropriate services will be made. Clients will also receive informational resources and various options for treatment, and they will be encouraged and supported throughout their recovery journey.
The assessment costs $200 if paid in cash or $207.40 if paid by credit card. Accepted payment methods include Medical Assistance (Lehigh and Northampton) and CCBH (Community Care Behavioral Health).
A urine drug screen is not necessary for the assessment process but may be required by the criminal justice system (court, probation, etc.)
